Bobbie Gentry's new album, by Treadmill Trackstar
Super dry and comfortable.
It's been a long time since Billie Joe McAllister jumped off the Tallahatchie Bridge, so Treadmill Trackstar updated it a bit. Leaving Ohio is more or less a concept album, as much as I hate to say it and as much as you hate to hear it. But, you can completely ignore that fact and dig on the songs, individually. The basis of the story is the death of singer/songwriter Angelo Gianni's grandfather seasoned with a healthy dose of Southern Gothic flavor. Gianni and Treadmill Trackstar have quite a history, but out of all the releases and nearly 20 years of evolution, I think this collection of songs is the best, stripped down showcase yet.
